Q: What are the features of the "Chiropractically Speaking" newsletter?

A: The "Chiropractically Speaking" newsletter is a full color, 4 page marketing/educational piece. It is loaded with interesting health facts, tips and updates that a patient or prospect can put to use immediately to improve their well-being and that of their family. The goal of the newsletter is to promote chiropractic and better living while positioning your clinic as a resource for issues the reader may be facing. We have made a point of diversifying each newsletter enough that there are a few items that everyone can apply but one of the great benefits of a newsletter is that it is likely to be shared with two other people besides the recipient. Patient acquisition, retention and referrals are offered here, all in one proven product.

Q: How often does the "Chiropractically Speaking" publish?


A:
  A fresh issue of the "Chiropractically Speaking" newsletter is published each quarter. You can print the available issue any time during that quarter and it need not be at the start of the quarter. Its wise to plan ahead and let us know you will be interested in the future, so we can earmark some pieces and follow up. Quarters are December - February, March - May, June - August and September - November. After years of experience, these dates correlate with the seasons and work best for our clients.

Q: What does the newsletter itself cost?

A: The "Chiropractically Speaking" newsletter costs 59¢ per piece for orders under 1000 pieces. For orders over 1000 pieces, they are 49 ¢ apiece with further price breaks for higher volume orders.  Further quantity discounts are available.

Q: What are the customization options?

A:
  Your newsletter order will be customized in full color on the front and back pages so your name and clinic information will be the first and last thing your patient or prospect sees. On the cover, your name and contact information will appear in the nameplate giving the appearance that this newsletter was prepared for you... and it was! The back page can contain as little or as much information as you would like, as the entire panel will be prepared for you. We do provide an article that we will include your name in or you can provide the text you would like us to design and drop into place.

Q: What are the most effective ways to use the back panel?


A:
  Great ideas for the back panel include color photos of the doctor, a map to the clinic, a clinic logo, a special offer with a deadline, a feature on a great piece of equipment you'd like to promote like spinal decompression, hyperbaric treatment or sEMG. Perhaps you have products you'd like to explain in more detail like pillows, nutritional supplements or a massage therapist whose time you'd like to fill. This page is a free ad that will offer great returns for your clinic if you put some thought into how you use it. We are happy to help you with this but be sure to check with local associations regarding the legality of any complimentary services you offer on a promotion. Our customization team can make this a productive piece that you will be proud to present.

Q: What is covered under the set-up fee and what costs extra?


A:
  The set-up fee is $44.95 and covers quite a bit. Scans of photos, graphics and maps, color and photo correction, typesetting, layout and design, supplied corrections, proofing correspondence, file preparation for printing and mail house regulation maintenance is all covered under those fees. The only items in which you may elect extra help for our design team is logo re-creation due to poor quality and map re-creation. Call Tim in customization for a firm price on what you require. Remember, we will supply these items back to you when completed for use in your other marketing materials and will also keep them on file at Back Talk to use on future newsletters. Clean logos and maps are a wise investment and would likely cost less through us than through a local designer!

Q: Can you mail these newsletters to our patients and how does that work?


A:
We are proud to have a close relationship with our mail house, having worked with key personnel there for over 10 years. This offers our clients benefits that are hard to come by. For us to mail your newsletters to a list, there is a 200 piece minimum. For only 40 ¢ per piece, we will take your list that you provide, review for complete addresses and cleanliness, de-duplicate addresses if you so choose so we only send one to each address (in case you have multiple patients at one address), inkjet addresses onto the newsletter directly, apply postage, presort and drop at the mail house for mailing. That service includes standard rate postage! According to the USPS website, standard pieces deliver in 2-9 days without the first class rate. Realize the post office won't guarantee that time but we have found this to be true unless it's a particularly busy mail time. Play it smart and give the piece 10 days to hit your patients and prospects before you panic. Our mail house is top rate and they will arrive intact.
Mailing is not a requirement. We are happy to supply all newsletters back to you to use as you please.

Q: I want to you to do our mailing but I am looking for more patients.
What are your list buying services?


A:
We are pleased to be able to facilitate the purchase of a prospect list in your area subject to different criteria that you can choose such as age, income, home value, zip codes, radius from your office, etc. You may also decide that you have a maximum you want to mail to and we can include that in determining distance from the office. Then we will purchase the list for you, at the same price as you would pay if you purchased it yourself, and our mail house will merge/purge it with your current patient list so you don't mail two pieces to one person. You will receive an electronic copy of the mailing list for future unlimited use, though we recommend you buy a new list every year, as people move all the time.

Q: What should I expect from my mailing in terms of response?


A:  Our newsletter meets all the standards for a top-notch marketing piece and we are committed to maintaining your trust. A new piece comes out each quarter, which is the minimum you would want to send to become a reliable resource to your patients and  prospects. Just as you don't always respond to your first contact with a promotional piece, your prospects may not know they require your services the first time they receive correspondence from you. Stay on the program for one year, four issues, before you decide the benefit of the piece. The more effort you put into your customizable page, the more likely a prospect will find something they are interested in. Newsletters work in every industry and the key to its success is your commitment to the process. Budget for it, mail to your patients (who are the best source of referrals), mail to the area and keep the faith. It will work.

Q:  I'm ready to begin. What is the process?

A: 
The process is simple. Complete the questionaire, which we can fax to you or you can download at www.backtalksystems.com. Fax it back and the process has begun! We will email you a proof, you can make changes until you are ready to sign off, and we will print however many you need based on your list, any lists you purchase and your in-office needs for the next three months. Mailing is great but you will want some in the office. Your current patients are your best source of referrals so let them take one if they choose. And your new patients won't be on your list so include one in their new patient packet. Then the printed pieces will go to the mail house for mailing and you are done. The process can take 3 days or 3 weeks, depending on how speedy you are. We make every attempt to keep up with you and meet your needs.
